How long have you been in business?
I started my CPA firm in 1980 as a Sole Proprietor. In 1990, I changed the business form to an S corporation.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer estate and tax planning and preparation of all returns. We also provide financial and business planning. Our accounting services are based on the needs of our client. We can provide all levels of accounting as needed so that the business owner can concentrate on his business and not worry about the detail accounting functions in the background.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was employed as an small business specialist at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. ( now KPMG, LLC) and worked as an auditor and tax specialist in their small business program. After that, I was the Controller of a publically held business. I left there to become a Chief Financial Officer of a privately held international company. In 1980, I started my own CPA firm.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
While I was the chief financial officer, my job was to maximize the cash flow into the owners pocket. I developed systems and procedures that generated him substantial wealth. I have taken that approach and have applied it to clients, saving them tax costs. We provide professional services by taking your tax return and treating it as if it was my own. We show you how to develop business and personal expenses that reduce your tax liability. Further, we show you how to document those expenses so that the IRS cannot disallow your deductions.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently operate out of an office on the east side of Portland, OR located at 10150 SE Ankeny St. We are considering opening a second office in eastern Oregon.

We accept cash, checks, money orders, and all credit and debit cards.
Which areas do you service?
We have clients located in Alaska, Washington , Oregon, California, Idaho, Flordia and New York. We have clients that do business in most of the United States, and therefore flie returns in most of the United States and Canada.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The owner of the company is James H Richardson, and he is responsible for the day to day operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Our office is open 8am to 5pm during all business days. Additional time is available by appointment as needed.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The most common compliment that we receive is when someone thanks us for saving them money.
